Residents at the Croix Des Bouquets camp north of Port Au Prince receiving training to use LifeStraw Family, a simple and inexpensive water purification device which can provide approximately 18,000 liters of safe, potable water for a family -- enough to last almost three years. The training was being held at the Croix Des Bouquets camp north of Port Au Prince under the auspices of the french NGO, A.C.T.E.D, and in conjunction with Vestergaard Frandsen, a private company which produces the LifeStraw family. The company also makes a personal unit which can provide access to approximately 1000 liters of clean water to an individual.
