A newly cleared street in the Delmas neighborhood of Port Au Prince, Haiti. Less than two months prior much of the streets here were filled with rubble and impassable. The rubble has been cleared with the assistance of JP/HRO, an NGO operating in Haiti founded by the actor Sean Penn. The building at left was a church with a kindergarten. JP/HRO is working with the community to clear the streets, and prioritize buildings which have the potential for reconstruction. They are also working to improve building techniques and standards.
